28 April commemorates World Day for Safety and Health at Work and International Workers' Memorial Day. This day provides an opportunity to reflect on how we can all prevent workplace illnesses, injuries and fatalities, and also commemorates those who have lost their lives to a work-related injury or illness.
2022's focus for World Day for Safety and Health at Work and International Workers' Memorial Day is how we can 'act together to build a positive safety and health culture'. Each and every one of us, no matter what job we're employed in, plays a role in work health and safety. Whether you're the director of a multi-national organisation, the sole operator of a small business, or a part-time or casual employee - we all have the right to work healthily and safely, and also have a responsibility to facilitate our colleagues to do the same.
